Before you set it up

This starter habitat suits dwarf hamsters, gerbils and mice. Larger hamsters need more floor space, so plan to add CritterTrail Fun-nel tubes and extra modules as your pet settles in. Check that your pet’s back stays straight while running on the wheel, and fit a larger wheel if it arches. Hamsters are most active at night, so provide a dark nest box where your pet can sleep undisturbed during the day, and place the habitat in a quiet room.

Good to know

Place on a stable surface away from direct sun and draughts, add bedding and check the latches are locked. Clean the habitat weekly and refill food and water daily.
