How to feed aquarium fish well
Give only what the fish clear in about two minutes, once or twice a day. Overfeeding is the most common cause of cloudy water and ammonia spikes, especially in small tanks. Match the food to where fish eat: floating cichlid pellets for mid and upper water feeders, sinking pellets and wafers for catfish, loaches and plecos.

Frozen food adds variety and suits fussy eaters such as discus and many marine fish. Thaw a portion in a little tank water, pour off the melt water to keep phosphate down, and feed it a few times a week alongside a dry staple. Never refreeze thawed food.

Storing fish food in Dubai heat takes some care. Keep dry food sealed in a cool cupboard, not on top of the tank hood or on a balcony, as heat and humidity break down vitamins faster once a tub is open. Buy a size you will finish within two to three months, and move frozen packs into the freezer the moment your order arrives.
