Measuring and choosing a width

Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. On 2 Hounds Design’s chart, XS fits about 14-20 inches, Small 20-24 inches, Medium 24-28 inches, Large 28-32 inches and XL 32-36 inches, with XXL above that. Medium comes in both widths: the maker suggests 5/8 inch for dogs up to about 40lbs and 1 inch for heavier dogs of roughly 40-60lbs. Clip the leash to both the front and back rings for the most control.
