Using it after brushing
A half-moon comb is the final check after brushing: run it through the coat down to the skin, and if it snags, there is still a tangle to work out. It is especially useful on long-coated cats, doodles, Shih Tzus and other breeds where mats form behind the ears, under the legs and on the belly. The curved shape helps it follow those tricky areas.
