Planning a marine setup

Both are frameless glass tanks on a white cabinet that hides the bottom filtration system, which combines multistage filtration with a built-in protein skimmer and a quiet, variable-frequency pump. Because the equipment sits in the cabinet, the display stays clear for rock and corals, and top-ups and water changes are done at the sump rather than in the tank. Plan the room before ordering: the larger set will weigh several hundred kilograms when full, so choose a level floor, ideally near a load-bearing wall, with a socket close by and space to open the cabinet doors. Allow at least four to six weeks for live rock and the skimmer to mature before adding fish, and add corals later still. Test salinity, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate weekly while the system settles. An automatic top-off and a reliable heater or chiller help keep conditions stable.
