Measuring and fitting

Measure around the top of your dog’s neck, just behind the ears, and add about 5 to 8 cm to find the right length: the 25 cm chains in 1.5 mm or 2 mm gauge are for very small dogs, while the 61 cm and 76 cm lengths in 4 mm are for large breeds. Put it on so the chain forms a ‘P’ as you face a dog walking on your left; fitted this way, it loosens as soon as the lead goes slack.

Good to know

Use a training collar only on supervised walks, never for tie-out, and take it off afterwards. Ask a trainer to show you how to fit and use it if you are unsure.
