Fitting it safely

The printed pattern collars come in XS, 1.0cm wide for necks of 19-31cm, in black, pink or red, and plain orange and green versions are also listed. Measure around the middle of your cat’s neck with a soft tape before ordering. Use the slide adjuster so you can fit one or two fingers under the collar: loose enough to be comfortable, but not so loose that it slips over the head or a front leg can get caught. The breakaway buckle is designed to open if the collar snags on a branch or fence, so never replace it with a fixed buckle. Kittens and first-time wearers may scratch at it for a day or two; distract them with play and treats and they usually settle quickly. Recheck the fit every week while a kitten is growing. If your cat goes outdoors, add an ID tag to the D-ring.
