Getting the airflow you want
The AP-500 has one outlet and no built-in pressure control, so if you need less air, fit an inline airline valve, and if you want to run two air stones or a sponge filter plus an ornament, add a gang valve to split the flow, remembering each line then gets a share of the same output. With a 3W draw it is economical to run around the clock. It suits small and medium tanks; deep tanks or very fine air stones need more pressure than a single small pump gives. Standing it on a soft mat reduces vibration further, and the diaphragm can be replaced when output drops.

Fit a check valve in the airline, or place the pump above the water line, to stop back-siphoning.
