Fitting and using the blades

This pack (Dymax code DM718) holds two replacement blades for the Dymax Mag-Scraper, which Dymax makes in S, M and L sizes, so check your scraper model before ordering. Keep the blade for stubborn patches such as spot algae or hard deposits, and let the soft pad handle routine cleaning. Before scraping, make sure the blade edge and the glass are free of sand, as grit trapped under a blade is the usual cause of scratches. Work in steady strokes, stop a few centimetres above the substrate, and rinse the blade afterwards. With a spare in the pack, you can swap in a fresh edge as soon as the first becomes nicked or worn.

Good to know

Keep sand and grit away from the blade when cleaning to avoid scratching the glass.
