Compatibility and fitting

This ring is made for the ecco filter family: the ecco 2231, 2233 and 2235, the ecco comfort 2232, 2234 and 2236, and the ecco pro 2032, 2034 and 2036. Check the model number on your filter head before ordering, since rings from other ranges will not seal properly. Typical signs that the old ring needs replacing are water seeping from the joint between head and canister, a ring that looks flattened or cracked, or one that has lost its elasticity and no longer sits snugly in its groove. Plan the swap for your next routine filter clean. Unplug the filter, close the taps and disconnect the hoses, then lift off the head and remove the old ring. Wipe the groove free of grit, slime and hair, because even a single grain of sand can cause a leak. Press the new ring in evenly all the way round without stretching or twisting it, refit the head, close the clips and reconnect the hoses. Restart the filter and check the joint for drips over the next few hours.
