Size, access and safe use

The Small box measures 20.5 x 20.5 x 14.5cm (Exo Terra code PT2270), which suits hatchlings and small species such as young geckos, snakes, frogs or tarantulas. A feeding door at the front of the lid lets you add food and water without lifting the whole top, even when several boxes are stacked, and angled vents keep air moving between stacked units. Exo Terra advises against using heaters with it, so keep it in a warm room instead, and always carry it by the clear base rather than the lid. Check that both doors are locked after every feed.
