The JBL ProSilent a400 is a powerful, low-noise air pump with two outlets for aquariums of about 200 to 600 litres. Its air output of around 400 litres per hour suits large tanks and fish rooms, and it comes with air hose, check valve and air stones.

Installation and specifications
JBL rates the a400 at 400 litres of air per hour and over 160 mbar of pressure for 5.5W, enough to drive air stones or air-powered filters in tanks of 200 to 600 litres, freshwater or marine. The air output is adjustable and the connection rotates through 90°, with a screw fitting that holds the hose securely. Noise is kept down by a suppression chamber, a reinforced housing and silicone feet. Mount the pump outside the aquarium, keep the non-return valve in the line, and stand it on a firm surface away from the glass so vibration is not passed on.
