Choosing a blend

Four blends come in the 24 oz (680 g) bag: Mint, which also includes marigolds and carrots, Cranberries, Carrots and Mango. Carrots is also available in a larger 48 oz (1.36 kg) bag for homes with several animals. A flavoured blend can tempt a fussy eater to eat more hay, and because hay should be available all day, many owners mix it with plain timothy to stretch it further. Pets under seven months usually do better on alfalfa.
