Kruuse Vet Bed – Grey, 75 x 50cm

Kruuse Vet Bed is thick, warm veterinary bedding made from dense polyester fibres that give extra loft, comfort and heat retention. Its double-layer build lets moisture pass through to the underside, so the top stays drier for the animal lying on it. Clinics use it before and after surgery and during long illnesses, breeders line whelping areas with it for mothers and newborns, and at home it gives older pets a warm, cushioned spot that keeps muscles and joints warm. Choosing a size and using it

Three sizes are listed: 75 x 50cm, which suits cat carriers, small crates and baskets, and the larger 100 x 75cm and 102 x 76cm pieces for medium and large dog beds, whelping boxes and car boots. Measure the floor of the bed or crate and pick the closest size rather than folding a bigger piece, which can leave it lumpy. Because moisture drains through to the underside, lay newspaper or an absorbent pad beneath it for puppies, incontinent pets or recovery after surgery. Keeping two pieces lets one be washed while the other is in use.

Good to know

This version has no anti-slip backing, so lay it on a grippy surface on smooth floors. Wash at up to 60°C and tumble dry only on a low heat.
