KW Zone Dophin LED Light – LED14

Installation & use

Mount the light securely on the rim of the aquarium, keeping the electrics dry and away from splashes, and route the cable with a drip loop. Run it for around 8–10 hours a day, ideally on a timer, to give fish a regular day-night rhythm and help limit algae.

Care & safety

Switch off and unplug before any maintenance. Keep the cover and reflector free of limescale and condensation, and check the cable and plug periodically for wear.

Choosing the right model

Three models are available, so match the light to your tank. The LED10 is the smallest, a 10-LED mini light for bowls and nano tanks; the LED14 has more LEDs for slightly larger small tanks; and the 36W model is a much more powerful unit intended for bigger aquariums. Check the length and mounting of the model you choose against your tank before ordering. Fish can be startled when a bright light switches on in a dark room, so switch the room light on first or use a timer that turns the tank light on after daylight. Live plants need regular light to grow, but extra hours mostly feed algae, so if green film appears on the glass, cut back the lighting period. Wipe the light’s underside occasionally to remove water marks that dim the output, and unplug it before cleaning or adjusting it.
