Description

The KW Zone Turtle Tank With Cover – 32 x 15cm is a clear plastic turtle tank with a vented green lid and carry handle, measuring about 32cm long and 15cm high. The extra space suits young turtles and other small aquatic pets, and it also works well as a quarantine, holding or transport tank.

Key features of the KW Zone Turtle Tank

  • Clear body
  • Vented lid with carry handle
  • Approx. 32cm long x 15cm high
  • Roomy enough for young turtles
  • Doubles as a transport or holding tank

Setting up

Rinse the tank with plain water before use — never soap — and place it on a stable surface out of direct sunlight. Add enough dechlorinated water for your turtle to swim and turn around, plus a dry area where it can climb out to rest, and keep the lid on to stop escapes while still allowing air through.

Care

Turtles are messy eaters, so change part of the water every few days and clean the tank fully once a week with warm water and a soft sponge. Remove uneaten food promptly, and remember that turtles grow — upgrade to a larger enclosure as yours gets bigger.

Choosing the right size

Four options are available. The TT360 measures 31.5 x 22.5 x 19cm, while the tanks with cover come in 22 x 12.5cm, 32 x 15cm and 35 x 15.5cm; cover colours on these are assorted and cannot be chosen. All of them are best suited to hatchlings and small young turtles, so pick the largest one your space allows and plan to move your turtle to a bigger home as it grows. Keep the water deep enough for swimming but make sure the turtle can always climb out fully to dry off and rest. Turtles also need warmth and suitable lighting, so check what extra equipment you will add before setting up. Change dirty water often, scrub and rinse the tank with plain water rather than household chemicals, and always wash your hands after handling turtles or their water.
