Hatching tips

For a good hatch, use a container of salt water with strong aeration to keep the eggs moving, a temperature of around 25 to 28°C and constant light. Most eggs hatch within about 24 to 36 hours. To harvest, switch off the air and wait a few minutes for the empty shells to float and the orange nauplii to gather near the bottom, then siphon them out and rinse them in fresh water before feeding. Start a new batch every day or two for a continuous supply, and keep the opened pack tightly closed.
