Picking the right size

Three sizes are offered: 50 x 50cm in packs of 100, and 60 x 60cm and 60 x 90cm in packs of 40. The 50 x 50cm pad suits small puppies and toy breeds, and the large pack makes it practical for daily house-training. The 60 x 60cm pad gives medium puppies more room to circle and aim, while the 60 x 90cm pad suits larger dogs, older dogs with incontinence, crates, playpens and whelping areas. To house-train, place a pad in the same spot every time, take your puppy to it after waking, meals and play, and reward it straight away for going there. Change the pad once it is wet so the surface stays dry and odour stays down. Gradually reduce the number of pads and move the last one towards the door as training progresses. Pads can also line carriers on long journeys or protect bedding for dogs recovering from surgery.
