Setting it up safely

The pad runs at 12 volts through a mains adaptor, draws only 15W and is regulated by two built-in thermostats, with a green LED to show it is working. Pet Remedy says it gently brings body temperature up to around 39°C, which is why it was first developed for warming pets after surgery. Cover it with a thin pad or towel for comfort, since the heat transfers through your pet’s weight. To test it or warm it up faster, roll it up loosely and plug it in. The surface wipes clean, the cable has a chew-resistant sheath, and a 12V car adaptor cable is available separately for travel.

The armoured cable unplugs so it can be fed through cage or basket doors. Always leave an unheated area so your pet can move off the pad.
