The baby powder fragrance suits owners who like a scented tray, but some cats are put off by perfumed litter; if your cat starts going outside the tray after a switch, try one of Sanicat’s fragrance-free litters instead. When changing litter, mix the new one into the old over about a week. A 10L bag fills a typical 40 x 30cm tray about 5cm deep with some left over for topping up as you scoop. Clumps should go in household waste rather than down the toilet unless the pack says the litter is flushable. Keep the bag closed between uses so the litter stays dry and the scent does not fade.
