Planting with curved tips
The curve keeps your hand and the forceps body out of your line of sight, so you can see exactly where the tip is going, and it reaches around rocks and wood to plant behind them. Grip a stem or a small portion of a carpeting plant near its base, push it deep into the substrate at a slight angle, then open the tips and draw the forceps out gently so the plant stays put.
