Seachem Prime – 325ml (Bonus +30%)

Seachem Prime is a highly concentrated water conditioner for fresh and saltwater aquariums. It removes chlorine and chloramine, detoxifies ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, and binds heavy metals. It is non-acidic, won’t affect pH and won’t over-activate reef skimmers. This is the 325ml (Bonus +30%) bottle.

Dosing and bottle sizes

Seachem’s standard dose is 5ml, one capful, for every 200 litres of new water, so the bottle size mainly depends on how much water you change. At that rate the 100ml bottle treats about 4,000 litres, the 250ml about 10,000 litres, the 325ml bonus bottle about 13,000 litres, the 500ml about 20,000 litres and the 2L about 80,000 litres. Seachem says a double dose can be used where chloramine levels are very high, and up to five times the normal dose in an emergency to detoxify nitrite. If you add it straight to the tank, base the dose on the full aquarium volume.
