Seachem Reef Trace 500ml

Seachem Reef Trace is a broad-range trace element supplement for reef aquariums. It can be used on its own or alongside Reef Plus to replace elements used up by corals, supporting healthy growth and colour. It is free of nitrate and phosphate. This bottle holds 500ml.

Dosing and what it contains

Reef Trace supplies boron, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum, zinc, rubidium, nickel and vanadium, replacing elements that are used up by corals or lost through oxidation and precipitation. Seachem’s dose is one capful, 5ml, per 80 litres twice a week; if you also use Reef Plus, dose the two on alternate days, as Seachem says the best results come from using both. At that rate the 500ml bottle lasts about 50 weeks in an 80-litre nano reef, or around ten weeks in a 400-litre system, so larger reefs may prefer the 2-litre or 4-litre bottles.
