Combining it with UV-B

This is basic daylight, so most reptiles need it paired with a stronger UV-B lamp: the brand’s 5% rainforest lamp for forest species or the 10% desert lamp for desert species. Fine mesh between lamp and animal filters out some UV, so mount it as directed. Run it on a timer, and replace it periodically, as UV output fades before the lamp stops glowing.
