Placement and upkeep

A chiller pulls heat out of the water and releases it into the room, so place the unit where warm air can escape, such as a ventilated cabinet or plant room, never a closed cupboard, or the room heats up and the unit works harder. Fit unions or valves on the pipework so it can be removed for servicing without draining the system. Wash the removable air filter regularly, because dust on the filter reduces cooling performance.
