Choosing a pellet size

The 6 mm pellet suits medium herbivores such as rabbitfish, smaller surgeonfish and angelfish, while the 12 mm pellet is for large grazers in big systems. Alternate it with a meatier diet such as Vitalis Platinum Marine in mixed communities, and soak a few pellets in tank water first if your fish are new to them. These 20 kg tubs suit public aquariums and large systems, so decant small amounts for daily use.

Good to know

Feed small amounts once or twice a day, only as much as your fish eat within a few minutes, and remove uneaten food. Reseal the tub after use and store it somewhere cool and dry.
