Description

Waterbox door poppers are the push-to-open latches used on Waterbox cabinets with recessed, handle-free doors. A light press on the door releases it and the popper pushes it open. Use them to replace worn latches or to keep the clean, flush look of your Waterbox cabinet.

Fitting and adjusting

Before ordering, count how many doors you need to fit and compare the new poppers with the existing ones so you buy the right number. Push-to-open latches need a small gap between the closed door and the cabinet frame to work, so check the door alignment first. Fit each popper in the same position as the old one, then adjust its depth: if the door springs open on its own, wind it in slightly; if it will not release, wind it out. Avoid overtightening screws into the cabinet board, and wipe away any moisture or salt spray from the latch area, as cabinets under aquariums are exposed to damp.

Good to know

Fit the popper where the old one sat or as the cabinet instructions show, and adjust its depth so the door closes flush and opens with a light press.
