Getting your cat playing

These mice are light enough to flick across a hard floor with a finger, and a few short flicks are usually enough to start a chase. Cats often carry small mice off and hide them, so check under sofas and beds now and then and gather them up. With two mice on the card, you can keep one in reserve and swap them over to keep play feeling new. Remove a mouse once its feathers or pompom start to come apart.

Supervise play and put the toy away afterwards, as feathers, ribbons, strings and small parts can be chewed off and swallowed. Replace it once it starts to wear.
