API pH Up raises the pH of aquarium water, making it more alkaline when the level has dropped too low. On the pH scale, 7.0 is neutral, readings above it are alkaline and readings below it are acidic, and different fish need different values to stay healthy, so regular testing is important. This fast-acting adjuster is colourless, simple to use and will not cloud the water, and because it contains no phosphate or nitrate it will not encourage algae growth.

Dosage
Test the water first with an API pH test kit. Add 1 ml per 10 US gallons (about 38 litres), then test again before giving any further dose.
Good to know
Some fish react badly to pH shifts of more than 0.2 within 24 hours, so make changes slowly and with great care.
