Through the use of this tactical burner the blue and green colors of the corals are emphasized. The burner must be used in combination with the aqualine 10000 burners. The aquarium is characterized by its combination of a beautiful appearance with a blue appearance. Many corals react very positively to lighting with aqualine 20000 and show good growth.

Choosing the right burner

The four article numbers cover different burners in the aqualine metal halide range, so match the code, wattage and lamp fitting to your light fixture and its ballast before ordering. The bluer aqualine 20000 is designed to run together with aqualine 10000 burners to bring out the blue and green tones of corals, not on its own. Metal halide output and colour change with age, so many reefkeepers replace burners on a regular schedule. When fitting a new one, make sure the old burner has cooled completely, handle the new glass with gloves or a clean cloth rather than bare fingers, and shorten the lighting period for the first few days so corals can adjust to the stronger light.
