When the calibration key has been selected the unit will automatically calibrate itself to the electrode. Aplastic shafted pH electrodewith BNC fitting and the correct calibration fluids are included.

Setting it up and care

In practice the controller switches a device, typically a CO2 solenoid valve on a calcium reactor or planted tank, through the supplied socket, which handles loads up to 500 watts. Check what you plan to connect before buying, as a solenoid valve and CO2 system are not listed in the set. Calibrate the electrode with the included fluids when you first set it up and repeat this at regular intervals, since readings drift over time.
