AquaMaxx ConeS FC Series In-Sump Protein Skimmer – FC-180

AquaMaxx ConeS FC series in-sump protein skimmers remove organic waste from marine and reef aquarium water. A hybrid cone body, an advanced bubble chamber and conical diffusers work together to mix air and water and create a stable, laminar flow in the reaction chamber. A modified Italian Sicce ‘Shark’ pump with a needle-wheel impeller draws in plenty of air and chops it into fine bubbles, pushing protein and waste up into the collection cup for easy removal. Rubber feet isolate noise and vibration, and the collection cup has a handle for easy cleaning.

Good to know

Stand the skimmer in the sump at the recommended water depth and let the foam build into a steady head before fine-tuning. Leave about 1/2 inch above the collection cup so it can be lifted off for cleaning.
