Before you install it

Measure your sump before ordering: the NF-1 needs a spot about 10.5 x 7 cm, plus clearance above its 34 cm height to lift off the collection cup. Check the recommended water depth in the manual and keep that section at a stable level, ideally with an auto top-off. New skimmers usually need a break-in period of several days before producing steady skimmate, so adjust gradually rather than chasing results on day one.

Good to know

Stand the skimmer in the sump at a steady water level and fine-tune it once it is running. Lift off the collection cup to empty and rinse it regularly.
