The Seachem aquavitro division is a versatile protein skimmer for marine aquariums. It has a polycarbonate collection cup, height-based drain regulation, a built-in silencer and an adjustable base that fits many sump layouts, removing organic waste before it breaks down. This is the division 250 model.

Choosing the model
The model number gives a guide to system size: the 500 is the largest, rated for systems up to about 1,900 litres, while the 125 and 250 are smaller versions for lighter loads; all three are supplied with UK plugs. Size the skimmer to your tank’s stocking and feeding as well as its volume, since a heavily fed reef needs more skimming capacity. Check that your sump section is deep enough and has the footprint for the adjustable base before ordering.
Good to know
Allow a few days for the skimmer to break in, and empty and rinse the collection cup regularly.
