Dymax Composeal Bonding Sponge is a bonding compound used together with scaping glue to join wood and rock in aquascapes, terrariums and paludariums. It is a non-toxic, environmentally friendly material that sets quickly and gives a strong, long-lasting and waterproof joint. Many scapers pack tissue paper into glue joints, which then needs hiding; Composeal comes in natural shades of beige, brown and dark grey that blend into the hardscape, so the joint looks natural without extra touching up.

How to use

Hold the two pieces of wood or rock firmly together and pack the gap tightly with Composeal. If you are using scaping glue, spread it evenly over the Composeal surface and make sure the far side of the joint is covered too. The compound sets within a few seconds.

Good to know

Build and glue the hardscape outside the tank where possible, and let the joints set fully before adding water.
