Dymax Goldfish Excel is a protein-rich food for fancy goldfish, made for varieties such as Oranda, Lionhead, Azumanishiki and Ranchu. Its formula is designed to encourage the full head growth (wen) and good body shape these breeds are kept for, and to keep colours strong even when the fish live indoors. Spirulina and astaxanthin act as natural colour enhancers, and stabilised vitamin C is added to support the immune system. It is a nutrient-dense staple for keepers who want their fancy goldfish in show condition.

Choosing a pack size
Three sizes are offered: 180g (400ml), 560g (1200ml) and 1.2kg (4L). The small tub suits a single tank or a first trial, while the larger packs make sense for ponds of fancy goldfish, breeders or several tanks. Dymax says colour improvements are usually noticeable after 30-40 days of regular feeding, so give it at least that long before judging results. Feed small amounts two or three times a day rather than one large meal, and remove anything left after a few minutes. Keep the lid closed tightly between feeds so the vitamins and colour enhancers stay fresh.
Good to know
Goldfish produce a lot of waste, so keep up with regular partial water changes and do not overfeed a protein-rich food.
