Checking the fit

Before ordering, measure two things: the thickness of the sump wall or baffle you plan to hang the holder on, which must be 12mm or less, and the ring of your filter sock, which needs to be the 7-inch size, as smaller 4-inch socks will not sit securely in it. Leave enough clearance above the holder to lift a full, heavy sock out through the front notch, and keep a clean spare sock ready so you can swap them quickly.
