Choosing the right size

Match the mat to your terrarium’s volume. Exo Terra pairs the 4W mat (PT2031, 18 x 10cm) with terrariums of about 4 to 19 litres (1 to 5 US gallons), the 8W (PT2032, 20 x 15cm) with about 38 to 76 litres (10 to 20 gallons) and the 24W (PT2034, 45 x 20cm) with about 190 to 230 litres (50 to 60 gallons); a 16W size sits between them. The mats are made for glass terrariums and can be stuck underneath or permanently inside, with rubber spacers supplied. Fit the mat towards one end so the other side stays cool, leaving your animals clear cold spots to choose from. For precise control, pair it with an Exo Terra thermostat. The IPX6 rating means it copes with humid setups and continuous use.
