Trimming safely at home

Comb the hair out first so you can see where the skin is, then slide the hair between two fingers and trim the ends that stick out beyond them, keeping your fingers between the blades and the skin. Work in small snips under good light, rewarding your pet between each one. For paws, trim the hair level with the pads rather than digging between them. If your pet wriggles near the eyes, stop and try again later.
