Size and safe use

The bowl measures 27 x 21 x 8cm and comes in red or grey, so you can pick the shade that suits your substrate and background, from a desert layout to a rainforest setup. Built-in steps help amphibians and bathing reptiles climb out easily, which lowers the risk of drowning. If you only need a drinking point, Hobby also makes drinking bowls in S, M and L sizes in the same style. Fill it to a depth your animal can stand in comfortably, and bed it slightly into the substrate so it cannot tip. Placing it nearer the heat raises humidity, while the cooler side slows evaporation.

Good to know

Change the water daily and clean the dish regularly, as animals often soil their bathing water.
