Fitting the new impeller

Unplug the filter, lift off the filter head and open the bayonet catch on the impeller cover. Take out the old impeller together with its shaft and bearings, because JBL says the impeller must always be replaced along with the shaft and bearings, and use the supplied pulling aid to free any bearing sitting deep in the housing. Fit the new set, close the cover and restart the filter. Before ordering, check that the model name on the filter head reads e900, as other CristalProfi sizes take their own impeller kits.

Good to know

Unplug the filter before servicing, clean the impeller chamber when fitting the new parts, and check the impeller whenever flow drops or noise increases.
