JBL pH-Plus raises the pH value in freshwater aquariums. Fish such as livebearers and cichlids from Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika prefer harder, more alkaline water, and this conditioner lets you lift the pH to the range they need.

Raising pH safely
Test both pH and carbonate hardness (KH) before dosing. In water with very low KH, pH tends to drift back down, so raising KH as well often gives a more stable result than adjusting pH alone. Dose in small steps over several days, testing between doses, and treat new water before a water change so the tank does not swing up and down. The 100 ml bottle suits small and medium aquariums. As a guide, livebearers and Lake Malawi and Tanganyika cichlids prefer a pH roughly between 7.5 and 8.5, but stable conditions matter more than reaching an exact number.
