JBL ProFlora Spiral 5 CO2 Diffuser

JBL ProFlora Spiral 5 is a CO2 reactor that dissolves carbon dioxide, the main plant nutrient, into the water of freshwater aquariums with practically no loss. Bubbles climb a visible spiral path through five modules, so you can watch the gas dissolve, and a collecting cap on top catches any remaining CO2 so it is not wasted. The reactor works without an extra pump and makes a separate bubble counter unnecessary. Made from sturdy Makrolon, it can be taken completely apart for cleaning and works with all common CO2 systems. A CO2 fertiliser system is needed and not included.

Sizing for your tank

How much water it can supply depends on carbonate hardness: JBL rates it for up to 200 litres at 4°KH but only up to 100 litres at 10°KH, so test your KH before buying. The tank must be at least 12cm tall, as the reactor itself stands 11cm high. The modular design is expandable if your plants need more CO2, and the visible spiral path lets you see the bubbles at work without a separate bubble counter.

Good to know

Connect the reactor to your CO2 system with the special CO2 hose supplied, then fix it in place inside the aquarium with the suction holders.
