JBL ProFlora Glass Midi CO2 Diffuser is a compact glass diffuser that dissolves CO2 into aquarium water to support healthy plant growth. A built-in ceramic diaphragm breaks the gas into very fine bubbles and releases them evenly, so the CO2 spreads well through the water. It connects to a standard 4/6 mm CO2 hose and fixes to the glass near the bottom of the tank with the supplied suction cup and clip. The clear glass body sits discreetly in a planted layout, and the whole unit can be soaked in cleaning solution when it needs refreshing.

Getting the best dissolution

Fix the diffuser low on the glass, ideally where the filter outlet carries the fine bubbles across the tank, as a longer path through the water gives the CO2 more time to dissolve. Connect it with CO2-resistant 4/6 mm hose, keeping the run as short and kink-free as possible, and fit a check valve so water cannot run back towards the regulator. Over time algae and deposits block the ceramic disc and the bubbles become larger or uneven; that is the signal to soak the whole diffuser in JBL ProClean Power for 24 hours, then rinse it before refitting.

Handle the glass with care, especially when pushing the hose on or pulling it off, as too much force at the connector can crack it.
