Choosing the right model

Pick the model by tank volume. Bioflow One is Juwel’s compact filter for small and nano aquariums of up to 80 litres, with a 300 l/h pump drawing 4.4 W. Bioflow M suits tanks under 300 litres, holding 3.5 litres of media in a 15.5 x 10.2 x 41.7 cm housing with a 600 l/h pump. Bioflow L is for tanks under 400 litres, with 8 litres of media, a 20 x 13.2 x 53.2 cm housing and a 1000 l/h pump. In the M and L, water passes through two large filter blocks at different speeds, which Juwel calls its dual-flow principle. Measure the free space inside your tank before ordering.

Good to know

Rinse sponges in old aquarium water rather than tap water to protect the beneficial bacteria.
