Feeding goldfish well
Goldfish always seem hungry, but overfeeding is the most common cause of poor water quality in goldfish tanks, so stick to small portions and remove anything left after a few minutes. If your fish gulp at the surface while feeding, soak the pellets briefly in tank water first. Goldfish digest more slowly in cooler water, so feed less often when the temperature drops. Vary the diet now and then with blanched peas or other soft vegetables. The recipe includes astaxanthin, a natural pigment linked with red and orange colouring. Keep the tub closed in a cool, dry place and use it within a few months of opening.
