Choosing a blade length

Two cutting lengths are listed. The 2.5 mm (#9F) blade leaves a short, neat finish, often used for summer clips, paws and hygiene areas, while the 5 mm (#7F) blade leaves a little more coat for a practical short body clip. The F stands for a finishing blade, which gives a smooth, even result on the body. Clipping with the direction of growth leaves the coat longer than clipping against it.

Good to know

Clip on a clean, dry coat, keep the blade flat to the skin and let the clipper cool if it gets warm. Brush hair out of the blade and oil it after each use, as described in the manual.
