Which brush to choose

Choose the standard Slicker Brush for thicker or medium coats that collect tangles and loose undercoat, and the Slicker Brush with Soft Pins for pets with sensitive skin or fine, silky coats, such as Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese and many long-haired cats. Use short, light strokes and lift the coat in layers, brushing from the skin outwards, so you reach the base of the fur without pressing the pins into the skin.

Brush gently in the direction of hair growth and work through tangles a little at a time. Remove hair from the tool after every session.
