Seachem Malawi/Victoria Buffer is a blend of carbonate salts that raises carbonate hardness and buffer capacity to recreate the water of Lake Malawi and Lake Victoria. It holds pH in the range African cichlids from these lakes prefer. This tub contains 300g.

Dosing guide
Seachem’s dose is 6g, one level teaspoon, for each 40-80 litres of water a day until the desired pH is reached, then only as needed to hold it, typically no more than once every two to three weeks. Dissolve it in fresh water before adding it, and use it when setting up the tank or at water changes, ideally after Cichlid Lake Salt. Depending on how much you use, it keeps pH between 7.8 and 8.4. Seachem suggests Cichlid Trace and NutriDiet Cichlid Flakes to complete the regime.
Good to know
Use with Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt to raise general hardness, and adjust pH gradually.
