Sera Digital Thermometer

From the latest generation of aquarium and terrarium thermometers. The sera digital thermometer conquers with the brightness of its liquid crystal display. It measures temperatures between 18 and 34 °C precisely.

1 brown: trend up
2 green: current temperature
3 blue: trend down

Fitting and reading it

This is a liquid crystal display rather than a battery thermometer, so it needs no power. Attach it to the outside of the glass, below the water line, on a clean, dry, grease-free spot, and press it on firmly so there are no air bubbles behind it. Keep it away from the heater, the filter outlet and direct sunlight or a strong lamp, which can give a false reading. The green field shows the current water temperature, while the brown field above it and the blue field below show whether the temperature is rising or falling. The range of 18 to 34 °C covers coldwater, tropical and many terrarium set-ups. Check it at the same time each day, and compare it with your heater’s setting now and then. Because it reads through the glass, it can be a degree or so different from the water in a very cold or very warm room.
